Objectives of the Course

NAVIGATION

The central objective of the course is to demonstrate the sources and transformations of the Western narratives of femininity in the context of the themes of dissertations of participating students. Therefore, the starting point of the course is the debate concerning the power of metanarratives in the phallogocentric culture of the West and its point of arrival is the mapping of the transformations of the concept of femininity in the post-war American culture. Among others, the issues raised during the course will include the following:
