POWERED BY
Singing...
Since 1997, I have been dedicating my time to finding moments of relaxation among my friends, co-performers of
the
Banana Boat
,
an a cappella quintet singing sea shanties and other maritime songs arranged in close harmonies. As an old salt, unsurprisingly, I am rather partial to this variety of folk music. To me, involvement with the music of the sea, whether it means performing it, writing lyrics, making CDs or listening to music by other bands, is a substitute of the fleeting nirvana of a nautical expedition. Sometimes, I find the much needed peace in the tunes of classical guitar and poetry writing. In the band, my main occupation is writing lyrics and transforming my dearest "technical", "medical", and "naturalist" friends into true connoiseurs of humanities. I sing baritone lines and "centers". I would be delighted if those of you who find this interesting decided to follow up on this brief introduction and continue their tour by rolling their mouse over the menu on the left and selecting elements embedded deeper than this section is. Enjoy!
